Mount Sutro Trail & Habitat Work, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Woods Building parking lot at 100 Medical Center Way. Volunteers are needed to maintain and improve the existing trail network; remove and prune invasive blackberry, ivy, and weeds; and help sustain native plants in the summit garden and nearby demonstration areas. Alvord Lake Gardening Work Party, 9 a.m. – noon. at Alvord Lake (Stanyan and Haight) – look for Joe’s truck. Even if you can only work an hour, please join your neighbors in sprucing up this key community green space under the supervision of Recreation and Parks gardener Joe Chmielewski.
