Farmers’ Market, 4-8 p.m. on Waller at Stanyan Fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables, and other farm-produced goods to the Haight every Wednesday evening through the end of October. Opening day festivities at the site starting at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served (as long as they last).

Monthly Upper Haight Salon, 5-9 p.m. at Upper Haight. Over twenty businesses in Haight-Ashbury are joining forces to organize a monthly Art Walk on the last Friday of every month to showcase special events.

Mount Sutro Trail & Habitat Work, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Woods Building parking lot at 100 Medical Center Way.  Volunteers are needed to maintain and improve the existing trail network; remove and prune invasive blackberry, ivy, and weeds; and help sustain native plants in the summit garden and nearby demonstration areas.  Refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of our activities.  Alvord Lake Gardening Work Party, 9 a.m. – noon. at Alvord Lake (Stanyan and Haight) – look for Joe’s truck.  Even if you can only work an hour, please join your neighbors in sprucing up this key community green space under the supervision of Recreation and Parks gardener Joe Chmielewski.
